A Gold Partner - Palloys Supporting WorldSkills Australia
Palloys is proud to be the Gold Partner of WorldSkills Australia National Championships and showcase held in the last week of August in Perth.
WorldSkills Australia is the chance to witness greatness, uncover potential and explore new skills in Australia’s largest trade and skills competition.
Over three action packed days attendees witness more than 50 different competitions, immerse themselves in cutting edge tech and the ability to learn new skills themselves at demo stalls.
Competitions will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre which is open to the public. Due to Covid and border closures, non Western Australian residents will compete from their home state, which will be available for viewing on WSA Live – WorldSkills Australia’s first ever dedicated livestream site.
About WorldSkills:
WorldSkills Australia promotes and builds a skills culture while celebrating excellence. This enterprise is a passionate advocate of vocational training and education to support young people in Australia.
Their skills-based competitions enable young Australians to showcase their trade and skills talents. Winners of selected national events are given the opportunity to compete at the international competition in 2022.
Aligned to National Training Packages, Apprenticeships Australia and Jobs Australia schemes. The championship is Australia’s biggest vocational education and excellence competition.
WorldSkills Australia is celebrating 40 years in 2021, as Palloys celebrates their 70 years of servicing the Australian jewellery and precious metals industry.
Palloys Involvement:
Palloys is honoured to support to WorldSkills Australia and each competitor as a gold partner.
In 2021, there are 5 finalists competing in the Jewellery category of the National Championships. Palloys has kindly donated $30,000 worth of 18ct yellow gold sheet, wire and solder for the up- and coming jewellers to craft into their winning creations as well as jewellery benches and lights for the competition.
